All learning does not take place inside the classroom. Learning experiences for students often happen outside of the classroom—at community facilities, such as museums and sports centers, and through structured groups and activities, such as homework clubs and community service. Out-of-school learning can help students overcome learning disabilities and develop new talents, and increase their interest in education.
“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.” - Henry Ford
Stay young.

Yes, I do agree that learning does not take place inside the classroom. We all learn and attain new information every single day, every single minute, and every single second. According to Henry Ford's quote, what he means is that every human being has something to learn, something learned, and something that they will learn. We are always learning something new or something old, whether we like it or not. Learning is like "keep[ing] [our] mind young" because it shows that our minds haven't reached its full capacity yet and it still am able to attain more information. It is attaining newer information each and every moment. No one can stop learning, because no one can do so. In my opinion, if someone stops learning, they are basically not alive anymore (or dead), because the brain has reached its full capacity and can no longer acquire excess information. In addition, not one person has nothing to learn. Every person has something to learn. (If that makes sense) This is what keeps our mind regulating and functioning, which is what Ford means by "Anyone who keeps learning stays young." Therefore, never stop learning!

I think one can learn more from what teachers don't say versus what they do, in a lot of cases. When teachers don't speak about certain subjects when students are younger and impressionable, they as well learn that it is "not okay" to speak about these things (i.e. sex ed). People are always learning, from social queues, billboards, music. I think it's ridiculous for society to act as if there's a time in your life when you begin learning and when you stop, as well as the asshat who made the decision that learning should be a standardized process that each child should accomplish in the same way.

I think that you're right about this to a certain extent. I definitly believe that the most effective learning happens when one is actually engaged and interested in what they are being taught. Not when teachers are forcing things you hate down your throat. When thinking about it this way, outside, interactive learning would make the most sense in terms of engaging students. Another thing you mentioned that i agreed with was the thing about group work. If you are working in a group of people that are all engaged in a task, then members of the group can benefit from each other mentally and stay interested in what is being taught.
