In the past few years, the clickbait epidemic has gone out of control. I have several friends who destroy their brains by spending hours in front of their computer staring at lists, slideshows, quizzes and other mindless shit. These are so poorly written that the people who make them aren't even called writers, but rather "content creators". America has become a nation of content-hungry lemmings clicking through meaningless articles and entire seasons of TV on Netflix. It doesn't matter to the readers if the content is good or not, they just need a endless stream of "original" "content" to assure that they never contribute to society, maintain a meaningful conversation, or do anything of value. and every buzzfeed post ends with a promotional tie in! These websites homogenize the population in order to better market you brand name products look at this: www.buzzfeed.com/skype/things-you-didnt-know-your-pet-does-while-you#.tjllPpWm1someone was paid to make that. millions of people have viewed it. if you can read one of those lists and have confidence in the future of the human race then you are probably much happier than me. i'm obviously exaggerating for dramatic effect buzzfeed.com gawker.com cracked.com uproxx.com collegehumor.com stumpleupon.com
