I recently came upon a very touching video on Upworthy. It shows that no matter what our gender or color of our skin is, we are all the same, human. We need to embrace ourselves instead of rejecting ourselves. We also need to be able to live and love without feeling like we are being discriminated against. Watch the video and tell me what you think.

This video is something that everyone should be exposed to. It shows how love truly "has no labels" because if we look further inside people, we are more similar than we think. It's incredible to see how far we've come with this particular topic and as a society, allowing people to love who ever they want to love. Despite your gender, disability, race, or religion, you are worthy of love. We've become more accepting and supportive and we learn to respect whatever makes other people happy.Love does not discriminate or judge, people do that. This video showed how as a society we are growing and overall, bettering. It's a restoration of faith in humanity for me because it shows how far we can get as a group if we learn to look past what is on the outside, because there are things far deeper in people than what they display to the public. We all look quite the same when looked at as skeletons and this was a good reminder of how all of us are in a way very equal, and we should be treated as so.

This video is truly beautiful. Everyone should have the ability to love who they want, and look past the stereotypes, and traditional mindset of loving someone who is most like you. Some people refuse to talk to people outside of their religious group, race, social status, or age group, because they fear that they will be judged for doing so. This video shows that humans have the ability to love anyone despite their physical, mental, or social differences. We should stop thinking about how different we are from one another, and start seeing how similar we are, and maybe then this world can become less hateful and judgemental.
We focus so much on our differences, and that is creating, I think, a lot of chaos and negativity and bullying in the world. And I think if everybody focused on what we all have in common - which is - we all want to be happy. -Ellen Degeneres

I really enjoyed this video. I think now that it's 2015, the world is becoming more accepting of everyone. Whether we have a disability, like the same gender, are old or young, practices a different religion, or are a different race, we all are the same. When it comes down to it, humans all just want to be loved and happy. Hence, I think this video is trying to coney the message that we should just learn to accept each other of four differences, because once we do, we will realize that love is what connects us to each other. Also, I enjoyed how they used the skeletons to symbolize our similarities. I know there is still discrimination in the world, but hopefully as time goes on and new generations come, the animosity and labels will be diminished.

This video is truly great and one that I think everyone should watch. It's 2015, and over the past centuries we have made so much progress as a society when it comes to the LGBT+ community, but like every other cause, we could always do better. I think it is human nature to notice differences about others, but it is certainly not our nature to exploit or discriminate against those differences. LOVE IS LOVE. As shown by this video, what matters is that we are all human. Races, genders, and religions may create differences in people, but there is always someone that will love another despite- or even because of- one of those differences. This video and the progress that we have made as a society have restored my faith in humanity, but I know that we still have a long way to go. Love is one of the most beautiful and sacred things that have been created, and it will one day- hopefully soon- use its power to eliminate the chaos and negativity that have plagued our world.

I totally agree that we should be able to love whomever we choose. Love isn’t a choice, it is a feeling that we can’t control once it develops. Yes, there are restrictions of society holding us back from loving the same gender or loving a race that you’re family agrees upon. Yes, our society has definitely progressed tremendously but because of the diversity of religions and families beliefs, it is hard to step out of that boundary and be accepted. Love is love as KiaraC had said. We have the right to love whom we please no matter the judgments of society. If you love the same gender, race, or religion or the opposite, it shouldn’t be what restricts you from loving that person. You can love that person, however, in life, there are most likely consequences to many situations.

This video was truly touching, and should send a message supporting not only equality in love, but in everything. After all, underneath the skin colors, racial and ethnic backgrounds, appearance or sexual identities, we are all the same; human. So in context, humans should have no labels, but unfortunately the human race cannot function without them (lol). Everyone should be able to coexist in this world without having to worry about harassment or judgment, and as time progresses so is change. Now we have gay marriage legal in almost all countries within the united states, as the idea has become more accepted. This has made me happy, because I was able to experience the marriage of my two mothers, and so now they are entitled to the rights that married couples are. I have always loved my two mothers just as much as other individuals love their mother and father. I have never been ashamed of them, thus proving another example of how love has no labels

love (noun)- 1) an intense feeling of deep affection 2) a person or thing that one loves 3)feel a deep romantic or sexual attachment to (someone)
No where in any three of these online definitions of love does it suggest gender. Love is a feeling that is something we hardly can control. America has taken long periods of time to accept thing, as we have seen in the past. (Women's rights, African American' rights, Immigrants' rights.) The next big step is same sex marriage. Although it is taking awhile, more and more people everyday are joint the fight for same sex love. Love is a thing that should be celebrated. This whole thing ties into the gender discussions we have been having in class. Once we get out of the gender stereo types, it will be easier for people to accept that a man can love a man, and that a women could love another women, and that a girl could play sports while a boy plays with dolls. We have trouble breaking tradition in this country. People can not accept same sex love because it is not the "norm." Which is just plain old stupid.

I believe that this is a very important subject and now that we're in 2015, it's time to make world a more accepting place. We can already see a huge change within the United States, especially when it comes to the topic of same sex marriage (As of February 9,2015, it has been legalized in 37 states), but we have to realize that outside of the US, it is still a huge issue. We can see it for example in the case of Russia. The news about president Vladimir Putin banning homosexual people from not only marrying, but pretty much from living their lives (it got to the point when they were not allowed to drive) are not so shocking in European countries. This video posted here is a good example of how we can spread a positive message without a fight. This gives hope that one day, even in Russia, gay people will be allowed to exist without fearing for their lives.
