I believe that summer vacation shouldn't be taken away because it is very unfair to the students. Summer vacation is a time when students take time out to relax from months and months of work and stress, especially high school and college students. After all the hard work we put into our 10 months of school, we deserve the two months to sit back and relax. Also, since sleep deprivation is a concern for some, if not most teenagers, they can now get some sleep and take in what they cannot during the school year.
Not only is summer vacation a time to sit back and relax, but it is a time when some students get to get their volunteer hours in and do some working. Also, students are able to get some studying for their next school year's school courses.
Aside from that, summer vacation is a time when families are able to spend more time with each other. Just think about it, parents work their butts off for their children , especially during the school year. They drive us to school, make breakfast, pack our lunches, cook dinner, help with homework, and so on. They need some time off as well. Summer vacation is a time when families can bond with each other without worrying about school and work. Family is the main priority. If Government officials decide to take out summer vacation, then they are ignorant and think that we humans are able to do anything without a break. This is something that Government officials should think about.

Summer vacation is an important part for a teenage student’s life for many reasons. The school year is a stressful 8 months between tests, grades, extracurricular activities, and our social lives. Summer provides us with an opportunity to relax and take time off to have our peace of mind. Without summer vacations I personally would suffer from sleep deprivation and I would be tired 24/7. This is obviously the case for most students in the system. Summer vacation gives them an opportunity to unwind and recharge their batteries. I understand that we need to beat China and other countries in education but the way to do it is not more standardized testing because standardized testing does not measure the full potential of students. It necessary for the government to come up with a better way to analyze the potential of students in a way that doesn’t stress them out as much as standardized test, not all students are the same and not all students learn the same way. The government needs to take this into consideration.

I honestly have had many disputes with my friends over this issue. I know that numerous teenagers believe that we need summer vacation because it gives a chance to relieve our stress and relax. However, a two month break can also allow students to forget more than half of what they lean red during the school year. This is a serious problem in the Untied States considering that China's education far superior than ours. Going back to school the next year having to have teachers reteach some material form the year before is a waste of time. Additionally, it is also dawdling to have such a long vacation. We could be using that time to study more and learn various things. I have always proposed to others my plan. My plan is that we simply have a three week vacation for summer and off every other monday. This way, we get all the number of days as the break and manage to remember the school material. I really feel that if America wants to improve its economy and society, this would be the best solution by far. MAny people will despise this at first, but overtime people will appreciate it.

Modern culture is based upon agriculture. Farming was the basis of society long before the modern age and subsequently has had a profound influence upon the society that has come after it. Summer vacation is always fun and provides an extended period of time to relax and unwind. Contrarily, jobs that are not education affiliated do not have summer vacation. Summer vacation is a unique part of the educational system. It is absolutely not common to many other professions. It is important to understand the unique benefits of being a student or a teacher and simply appreciate what is given to you.

While summer vacation may not be the most necessary thing in terms of agricultural society anymore, it is crucial to students. Moreover, our entire system is based off of it. The only other solution would be to give fair breaks throughout the year, however constant weeks off would be difficult to place into a working system, and second would cause constant interruptions in concentration and focus for students. Moreover, two months off of school allows students to participate in different programs, gain social skills, and focus on real life professions or skills they may want to pursue after the real world kicks in, and school isn't the only thing in our lives. Some students get jobs and learn how to deal with their own money. Other students visit other countries and learn about different cultures. And other students even go to summer programs focusing on music, engineering, or even bio-medicine. Two months off of school are crucial to the development of students.

Summer vacation is an integral part of a child's education. During my summers, I go to a Jewish sleep-away camp. At camp, I make new friends, I gain new experiences, I travel to new places, I break new rules, and most importantly, I learn about myself as a person. Every year at camp I become more in touch with my Jewish heritage and culture through Shabbat services, Jewish holidays, and doing mitzvot with my friends. Not only is camp a learning experience that is different from the one that happens in a school building, it is essential to my well-being. Being at camp for two months allows me to get away from the stresses of every day life and just be with my friends 24/7. Camp teaches self-reliance, how to work with others, and how to make the best of a bad situation; for example, the food at my camp is absolutely terrible, but that doesn't matter because I am somewhere that I love. For many, the stress of home can be life-threatening; camp allows for an escape from that. Schools even strive to give kids education outside of the classroom, which shows the importance of education outside of school. In conclusion, education is not all about learning in a classroom; in fact, diversity is key to a good education. Monotony can turn someone off from the idea of education, but once someone is introduced to summer camp, they can realize that learning does not necessarily mean memorizing information.
